OpenClaw is an open-source AI assistant framework that lets you run a powerful chatbot on Telegram, WhatsApp, or Discord. YellowCrab hosts it for you so you don't need any technical knowledge.
Not at all. YellowCrab handles all the technical setup — servers, installation, updates, security. You just pick your AI model, connect your messenger, and start chatting.
OpenRouter is a service that gives you access to dozens of AI models (like GPT-4, Claude, Llama, Gemini) through a single account. You pay OpenRouter directly for AI usage, so you control your spending. We use the OAuth PKCE flow to securely connect your account — your API key goes straight to your bot.
You can add or adjust your AI credits either from the YellowCrab dashboard or directly in your OpenRouter account, where you manage your payment methods and spending limits.
That depends on the model you choose and how much you use it. Most casual users spend $3–15/month on AI tokens. You can set spending limits in your OpenRouter dashboard so you never get surprised. Note that not all our plans include AI usage costs.
Yes. Your conversations travel directly between your messenger app and the AI model provider. We never read, store, or process your chat messages. The only data we handle is the connection metadata needed to keep your bot running.
Only if you explicitly allow them. By default the bot answers exclusively to you — on Telegram we use an allowlist so only your chat is authorized.
You can cancel anytime. Your bot will continue running until the end of your billing period. After that, the instance is shut down and all data is securely wiped within 48 hours.
Yes. You can just ask the agent to switch model — no reinstallation needed. Want to try Claude instead of GPT-4? Just switch it.
Skills are add-on capabilities for your assistant — like web search, image generation, or code execution. They're optional plugins. Our malware scanner checks all skills hourly to ensure they're safe.

Responds to owner only
Only you can talk to your bot. Other users cannot access it unless you ask your agent explicitly to change that.
Container isolation
Every bot runs in an isolated container. Other users cannot access your data or processes.
No message logging
We do not read, store, or process your conversations. Messages travel directly between your messenger and the AI model. We only see connection health metrics.

AI outputs can be wrong. AI models can generate inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate content. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions without independent verification.
Third-party skills carry risk. While we scan for malware hourly, community-made OpenClaw skills can potentially contain malicious code. We recommend only using skills from trusted sources.
Service availability. While we target 99.9% uptime, outages can occur due to infrastructure providers, AI model providers, or messenger platform changes. We are not liable for downtime or data loss beyond our SLA commitments.
Your responsibility. You are responsible for how you use your AI assistant. Do not use it for spam, harassment, impersonation, or any activity that violates the terms of your messenger platform or AI model provider.
